According to Tianyancha, on December 5, Apple’s patent application for “Heart Monitoring and Management System” was published. According to the abstract, the patent relates to systems and methods for determining a user’s cardiac load.

According to the patent abstract, the technology relates to a system and method for determining the load on a user’s heart. The method includes collecting a series of cardiac measurements at a first set of time points using one or more sensors to determine a set of measurement data points; generating an additional set of measurement data points associated with a second set of time points that is different from the first set of time points. Data points; use measured data points and additional data points to determine and output cardiac load values for a predefined period of time.

This is not the first time Apple has obtained patent results in the field of health monitoring technology. Previously, Apple successfully obtained a new health-related technology patent. This patent is expected to use iPhone and Apple Watch to analyze the wearer’s respiratory system, further enriching and improving the functions of Apple’s smart health monitoring devices.

Apple said in the patent document that it mainly analyzes and measures the user’s respiratory function to early detect and monitor those who may suffer from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma or other airway-related diseases. Compared to existing methods, Apple’s new patent provides a simpler and more reliable breathing monitoring method.

These new patents show that Apple is actively developing and applying new technologies to improve the health management functions of its devices. This will not only help improve the quality of life of users, but may also gain Apple a greater competitive advantage in the global health technology market.
